Microchip Pet Identification

Protect your pet with a Microchip

If your pet is ever lost, you can increase the odds of a happy reunion with the simple implantation of a microchip under the skin of your pet.

Collars and tags can fall off and be lost. We offer microchip pet identification as an additional precaution.

A small microchip, about the size of a grain of rice, can be injected painlessly under the skin of your pet.

Each pet receives a unique identification number, which is stored on the microchip and recorded in a national directory.

With the use of a portable scanner, available at most veterinary hospitals, animal shelters and humane societies across Canada, the microchip will identify the pet.

Accurate identification provides access to emergency contact numbers and crucial medical information and allows you to be notified of your pet’s whereabouts.

The simple procedure of implanting the identification microchip can be performed during a routine office visit, or may be combined with a scheduled surgical procedure.
